For example, haven't we all seen zealots who once proclaimed "7 Reasons Why ABC Is In Your Future", but who are now recanting that decision with "Why I Use XYZ Instead of ABC".

Still, I think you're on the right track, investigating and asking "what can we do better" is how we reach new heights. This is a noble exercise.
