The recent focus on publications is really the best defense for all of us. Publications, with discerning editors are Medium's not-so-secret sauce. They curate for us. Putting the boosting mechanism in editor's hands was the best decision ever.

When I read a publication that has AI stories, I blacklist them -- if the editor hasn't done their job, I'm not willing to do it for them. That includes spelling and grammar and appropriate headlines.
