Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Upon further research I've discovered a zero-day exploit in the Tuscan++ code, whereby any increment to the counter between October 4, 1582 and October 10, 1582 will cause a race condition, leading directly to Armageddon.

Somehow this slipped though Leonardo's code review, and has remained dormant all this time -- yet another another reason to not blindly import third party libraries.
