Perhaps we wouldn't have such distaste for this style of work if it were't labeled, from the start, as garbage or trash.

If we were to write the same code but refer to it as "single use code" or "disposable code", it might make us feel less quesy about it.

It's just like cooking: calling something "slop" instead of "leftover deluxe" doesn't change its nutritional value, only its palatability.
