In other news, "X" the recently rebranded platform formerly known for its 140 character messaging platform, is rumored to be considering yet another name change. The proposed new name would be XY.

The DNS name xy.co has already been reserved.

Apparently, the Y half of the population misunderstood the new name X. With its more gender inclusive connotations, the company is hoping the new name will double its user base.

"We saw a big increase in users when we doubled the message limit to 280 characters, we're expecting to fool them again with this latest move" says Terry James (she/her).
