I'm curious what you've chosen for bike security.

On one long distance tour I had my Surly Long Haul Trucker with front and back panniers locked up with a typical U-Lock. When I returned an hour later everything was gone, with nothing to my name but the pair of shoes, riding shorts and T-shirt that I was wearing.

When I repurchased everything I switched to the ungodly heavy NEW YORK FAHGETTABOUDIT, a chain, not a cable, not a U-lock. Weighing in a over 10 pounds, I don't recommend this to anyone but the most severely traumatized.
