I think it's fair to apply an open source license to the "Data Driven Generative System" which is truly software, that can be fiddled with and forked as desired.

On the other hand, the weights obtained through any given collection of source data should be placed under an entirely different license. Fiddling with those numbers is not meaningful without the source data itself, so "open source" is a poor licensing choice. Free, maybe. Paid, maybe. Just not open source.
