I agree that all the name dropping, citation laden papers, and gobbledygook equations are, as Hoffman himself puts it, "a worthless pile of dung without specifying a target organism, its state, and the action". [1]
In Hoffman's own words, "If we can’t solve the mind-body problem by starting with the physical and explaining how consciousness arises, then perhaps we can try solving it the other way: start with a mathematical theory of consciousness and explain how physics and space-time arise. That is the goal of a new theory of “conscious agents” (Hoffman 2008; Hoffman and Prakash 2014)."
So the conscious agents theory explains how physics arise? Hmm.
And it explains how space-time arises? Hmm.
And how exactly does that help us navigate this world and our limited time on it?
